Young Entrepreneur or Apprentice (Under 30yrs)

We're looking for inspiring apprentices or entrepreneurs aged 30 or under. This will be awarded to the apprentice who has developed most in the role since joining the business and has contributed most to the business. Or to a young person who has set up their own successful business.

Awarded to an individual or business demonstrating the most innovation with regards to marketing, design, manufacturing, performance of services or adapting to the changing market place. It could include improved manufacturing processes, promoting sustainability or design of an innovative product or service.

Family businesses are a vital component of the local economy, and this award recognises the best of them. Candidates need to be businesses that are run by at least two members of the same family, and extra credit will be given for a good original concept.

Nominate a business? This category is open to those who have been impressed with how a business operates in whatever capacity and wants them to be recognised as a 'Champion'. Gives little or no factual information about the business to support the entry. Doesn’t explain much about the business in relation to the category criteria.
Two Points
Small amounts of evidence or metrics that could be easily verified. Provides only a small amount of information about the business in relation to the category criteria.
Three Points
Gives decent information in relation to the category criteria. Provides a limited amount of evidence/metrics.
Four Points
A clear pitch in relation to the category criteria supported by good evidence/metrics.
Five Points
A show-stopping story clearly linked to the category criteria, supported by independent/verifiable qualitative and quantitative evidence.

Ryedale Awards Ceremony

All finalists will receive a free ticket to the awards ceremony – a breakfast and networking event held at 9am on Tue 28th Jan 2020 at The Feathers Hotel in Helmsley. It’s a great chance to support and network with a variety of local businesses in the Ryedale area, plus enjoy a delicious breakfast!
