We're looking for inspiring apprentices or entrepreneurs aged 30 or under. This will be awarded to the apprentice who has developed most in the role since joining the business and has contributed most to the business. Or to a young person who has set up their own successful business.

Awarded to an individual or business demonstrating the most innovation with regards to marketing, design, manufacturing, performance of services or adapting to the changing market place. It could include improved manufacturing processes, promoting sustainability or design of an innovative product or service.

What and how do you help your local community through your business? Do you or your staff volunteer to help with local issues? Do you give your expertise and time to help with local events, business mentoring, work with schools, charities?
Thomas the Baker
Championing the regions best businesses from the food & drink industry. Open to producers, suppliers, retailers, caterers, chefs & more! We're looking for businesses and individuals who are passionate about the food and drink industry. Bonus points for those who produce, or work with local produce from the Ryedale area.
Awarded to a business or individual who puts customers at the centre of its service. It could include how the business or individual look after customers and go that extra mile in their services.
The winner of this category is likely to have its roots in food, farming or agriculture. Judges will be looking for a business that contributes to the rural economy and community, has successfully steered its way through the recession and can demonstrate effective marketing and a strong future.
Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors
Family businesses are a vital component of the local economy, and this award recognises the best of them. Candidates need to be businesses that are run by at least two members of the same family, and extra credit will be given for a good original concept.
Studford Luxury Lodges
Nominate a business? This category is open to those who have been impressed with how a business operates in whatever capacity and wants them to be recognised as a 'Champion'. The business may have worked incredibly hard to win a contract, persevered through very difficult trading conditions, gone that extra mile for customers or staff?
All finalists will receive a free ticket to the awards ceremony – a breakfast and networking event held at 9am on Tue 28th Jan 2020 at The Feathers Hotel in Helmsley. It’s a great chance to support and network with a variety of local businesses in the Ryedale area, plus enjoy a delicious breakfast!
