If you like walks then North Yorkshire is the place to be. We are ideally situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, and to find a great walk you simply have to step out the door!

We have maps and walking sticks for you to borrow and why not take one of our dogs with you for company. A short walk from here you can see the once nearly extinct Exmoor ponies.
You can walk,stand and stare in this very spiritually rich triangle taking in the Abbeys of Ampleforth, Byland and the new Stanbrook in which you can roam free while staying with us. Guests say just to do these simple things with a different view for every footstep you take and to breathe in the country air gives such an antidote from the stress that modern day living.
