Nicholas Rhea the author got his inspiration to write the "Heartbeat" books - this is P.C. Nick Rowan's real patch. He was a real policeman here in the 1960s and 1970s.

Our farmhouse charity breakfast event held in the Farmhouse Breakfast Week raised over £7200 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. This is enough to fly Yorkshire's 2 air ambulances for a whole day .

Would you love to take one for a walk or just have one to stroke and pet while you sit looking out over our Yorkshire countryside and relax. Jack is happy to lend you one of his Cuckavalda Team - Our dogs do not come indoors so there is no worry of muddy paws. We have had a busy time with beautiful Labradors puppies and some sweet cocker spaniels. They are important team members of the Carr House Team experience. Their jobs description is to welcome guests, entertain and soothe any separation anxiety that may be felt about furry friends back home. They excess in their roles and amass a growing fan club of guests.
We regret that we are unable to accept guests' dogs. We can arrange for B& B for your dog nearby should you wish. They have 5 star treatment and live as part of the family.
