… at Carr House Farm B&B near Ampleforth.  Our 16th century farmhouse is set in an acre of garden with bluebell woods  and apple orchards. Tucked away in the southern edge of  the North York Moors National Park sometimes called the North Yorkshire Moors. Only 6 miles from the pretty market town of Helmsley.

Couples, family celebrations or get together group of friends or even a single will feel comfortable here and be blown away by its beautiful setting .

Home to Anna and Jack (who is officially recognised as a friendly face for North Yorkshire) and also home of  the Cuckavalda Gundogs.

Carr House Farm is an easy 2 miles from Ampleforth Abbey and Ampleforth College.

Fine dining is right on your doorstep with Michelin starred restaurant and AA 3 Rosette The Black Swan at Oldstead only 5 minutes away.  The famous The Star at Harome is 7 miles away. Along with traditional village pub The White Swan in Ampleforth . Award winning  Byland Abbey Tea Rooms owned by English Heritage. Helmsley has an array of eating places including AA3 Rosette Black Swan and  The Feversham Arms in Helmsley with spa days  and  just off the town square a great Italian restaurant . The Hare at Scawton has been winning lots of awards  too.
